HEALTH CAREERS JOB ANNOUNCEMENT (QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED)

All eligible Tanzanian citizens are invited to apply for 746 positions in health care at local councils, health centres, and clinics. Local governments will employ them. The Office of the President, Regional Administrations, and Local Governments (OR-TAMISEMI) advertises them.

The ad issued on April 20, 2022 is being repeated because of the shortage of qualified job seekers in the previous advertisement. The open positions for TAMISEMI Ajira Za Afya are as follows:

 

1. Dentists Grade II – TGHS E (30 Positions)

To be eligible

• candidates must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (Degree of Dental Surgery) from a college that is approved by the government.
• In addition to having completed a year of internship
• Two years of active medical licensing
• They must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council (Medical Council of Tanganyika).

 

2. Dentist Grade II – TGHS B (43 Positions)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:-

i. Graduates of Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Diploma in Clinical Dentistry/NTA level 6) of three years duration from a College recognized by the Government
ii. Registered from the Tanganyika Medical Council (Medical Council of Tanganyika); and
iii. Active License holders from the Tanganyika Medical Council (Medical Council of
Tanganyika).

 

3. Physician Assistant – TGHS A (244 Vacancies)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:-

i. Graduates of a two-year Clinical Assistant Certificate (NTA Level 5) from a College recognized by the Government

ii. Registered from the Tanganyika Medical Council (Medical Council of Tanganyika); and

iii. Active License holders from the Tanganyika Medical Council (Medical Council of Tanganyika).

 

4. Technological Officer (Laboratory) Grade II TGHS – C (30 Posts)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:-

i. Applicants must have graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Medical/Health Laboratory Sciences for a period of three years from a College recognized by the Government.

ii. Applicants must be registered with the Council of Health Laboratory Professionals (Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council); and

iii. Active Licensees from the Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council.

 

5. Technologist (Radiation) Grade II TGHS – B (86 Posts)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:-

i. Diploma graduates in the field of Radiation (Diploma in Radiology/Radiography/NTA level 6) for a period of three years from a College recognized by the Government.

ii. Registered from the Tanzania Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council; and

iii. Active License holders from the Tanzania Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council.

 

6. Nurse Grade II TGHS – A (313 Positions)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:-

i. Graduates of a two-year Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery (NTA level 5) from a college recognized by the Government.

ii. Registered from the Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council (Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council); and

iii. Active License holders from the Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council (Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council).

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR JOB APPLICANTS

i. Be a citizen of Tanzania;

ii. He should be no more than 45 years old;

iii. He should have full training certificates for the field he studied (Fourth, Sixth Form Certificate, Profession and full registration (Full Registration) and active license to work in the relevant profession);

iv. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Provisional Registration, Result Slip, Statement of Results WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED;

v. He should not be a Government Employee or an Employee of Religious Organization Hospitals whose salary is paid by the Government;

v. Applicants employed by employment contracts from Development Stakeholders in the Health Sector are required to attach 4 copies of the contract and letters of confirmation from the Directors of the respective Councils;

vii. He has never been fired, quit or retired in the Public Service;

viii. Have a National Identification Number (NIN); and

ix. Attach a copy of the birth certificate.

x. All applicants who studied Secondary Education abroad are required to obtain an Equivalent Number starting with the letter EQ… from the Tanzanian Examination Council to enable them to enter the Employment System;

xi. Applicants who studied in Universities Abroad should make sure their certificates are compared/verified by NACTE or TCU; and

xii. Applicants who submit false or falsified information will be subject to legal action.

i. All applicants for Ajira za Afya should be ready to work in the Councils/Divisions that will be assigned;

ii. Applicants should be ready to work with Organizations or Institutions that entered into Partnership with the Government;
