About Arusha International Conference Centre
The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) was created by the President’s order through Government Notice No. 115, which was published on August 25, 1978, under the Public Corporation Act No. 17 of 1969.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has jurisdiction over the center, which is fully owned by the Tanzanian government. Without government funding, the center runs as a full-fledged business.
The main line of business is the provision of conference services. However, AICC also leases out residences in Arusha Municipality and offices at the complex housing the headquarters. The Center operates a 32-bed, medium-sized hospital in the Arusha Municipality where it offers healthcare services.
The Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), which is in the center of Dar es Salaam, is another facility owned and run by AICC. In Dar es Salaam, the JNICC is a multipurpose conference center that features cutting-edge audio-visual, communication, and information technology.
