STEM Internship Programme Overview

• • Women are still underrepresented in engineering and technology fields on a global scale. In nations like Nigeria in sub-Saharan Africa, this gap is even wider. As sector leaders and advocates for the energy transition, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure that it is inclusive, which entails providing opportunities for girls and young women.
  • We introduced our STEM Internship Program in 2019. (SIP). SIP focuses on giving Nigerian female graduates with an aptitude for and interest in pursuing careers in the energy sector opportunities for hands-on learning.

• • SIP is designed as a 12-month rotational program that elevates conventional classroom instruction through a project-based methodology. Participants are assigned to various functional teams throughout the course of their internship, which simulates a typical EPC project life.

• This aids in the development of their problem-solving and other work-ready skills while enabling them to relate complex engineering, technology, and management concepts to practical applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, Science background considered
• Eligible for NYSE
• ability to work legally in Nigeria.
