The Simba SC has arrived in the Zanzibar Islands as a result of a request from the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) to take part in friendlies this season since the League has halted play to accommodate FIFA Calendar games.

Malindi SC and Kipanga FC will be the opponents in Simba’s two friendly games in the Islands.

With 21 players, a technical bench, and a few leaders, the team departed Dar es Salaam.

The first match will take place on September 25, 2022, at 2:15 p.m. against Malindi SC, and the second match will take place on September 28, 2022, against Kipanga FC.

Amani Stadium in Unguja Visiwani, which has a 15,000-person capacity, will host both contests.

Simba SC will return to Dar es Salaam following the two games.

This is in preparation for the opening match of the African Champions League, which will take place on 9th of October 2022, in Angola against Clube De Desportivo de Agosto.

Simba Sports Club, a Tanzanian football team, was established in 1936 following its split from Yanga SC, another Tanzanian team, and was given the name Queens in recognition of Her Majesty the Queen of England.

Simba Sports Club, better known by the moniker “Wekundu wa Msimbazi,” is located at Msimbazi Kariakoo.

Simba SC has won 21 League titles and five domestic Cups, and has participated in the African Champions League many times.

Having won the CECAFA Club Championship six times, they are also among the biggest clubs in East Africa.

Simba play their home matches at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

With a total budget of TShs 6.1 Billion (roughly $5.3 million) launched for the 2019/2020 season, the club is among the wealthiest in East Africa.

Kipanga FC

Kipanga Football Club, or simply Kipanga, is an African football team with a base on the Zanzibar Islands.

Kipanga FC participates in the Zanzibar Premier Soccer League. It was founded in the Zanzibar town of Kipanga and is still in operation there in the shadow of KMKM, the oldest sports association in the area.

Their home field is Kipanga, and in 2000 they won the Zanzibar Premier League.

Sunday at 2:15 pm Simba SC will go down to the Amani Stadium to play against Malindi FC in the first friendly game.

Malindi SC

A football team from Zanzibar named Malindi Sport Club is based in Unguja. It was established in 1942, making it Zanzibar’s most prestigious club.

They dominated Tanzania for many years as the 1989–1992 Zanzibar and Tanzania Regional Champions.

The team began competing in the Zanzibar Premier League in 2004, following Zanzibar’s admission as an independent member of CAF, and they have since won numerous national and regional championships. As a result, they will represent Zanzibar in the African Club Championship.
