Environmental/biodiversity organizations are hiring 1050 graduates. N.B. The listed organizations’ websites should be visited by candidates. A program to transition people into the workforce, the Groen Sebenza Phase II Programme is funded for the next three years with R300 million. In order to further develop their competence and confidence in the management of the environment and biodiversity, GS Phase II aims to hire 1050 unemployed graduates (ranging from Diploma to PhD level) and place them across the country in various organizations (both government and non-governmental). The program goals are: The following are the goals for the 1050 Recruitment Groen Sebenza Phase II Programme Enable workplace-based learning for graduates aimed at building and strengthening their capacity at various levels. Creation of job opportunities and possible permanent placement beyond funding. Transformation and organizational strengthening: –Strengthen different organizational development aspects, including transformation in its totality, mentoring, proactive skills, and planning to better respond to organizational mandates and other national priorities. Research-informed: through research, develop a ‘live’ skills intelligence system that will enable the sector to proactively plan for skills development and track and trace the utilization of the developed skills. How do I qualify for this placement opportunity? The 1050 Recruitment Groen Sebenza Phase II Programme is aimed at unemployed young South African graduates. Additional Requirements Must be a SA citizen. Young unemployed and underemployed professionals between the ages of 18 and 35. Innovative, dynamic and creative A commitment to career development in the environmental/biodiversity sector. Must hold a relevant qualification as per the minimum requirements advertised.
